Bev’s Heirloom Register.

GSQ Blog Posted on February 15, 2021 by guestbloggerFebruary 15, 2021

By Bev Murray. It was a few years ago that I started to wonder about my many possessions, which are heirlooms. What would become of them, after I have ‘Gone to God’? The result was that I created an “Heirloom Register” in Word document format. This register is a source of essential information about every precious item in my possession, therefore, hopefully preventing massive dumping at the local charity shop, or perhaps even worse! Eva McGill’s pottery

It also aptly characterizes one of the main goals of visualization, namely making it possible to absorb large amounts of data quickly.” I was reminded of this adage on my recent visit to … Continue reading

History Mouldering Away

GSQ Blog Posted on December 2, 2014 by Helen SmithJanuary 1, 2017

I recently read the book “Three Minutes in Poland:Discovering a Lost World in a 1938 Family Film” by Glenn Kurtz. It is available on Amazon I bought the Kindle version. The author finds a family film taken on a trip to visit Poland in 1938 and the book details the journey assembling the information able to be determined from that three minutes of film of a time in the past before the terrors in Europe and the decimation of a people … Continue reading
