My childhood homes. — 8 Comments

  1. Di that is an extraordinary record and a reminder these memories of our homes are another glimpse into our lives to record for our descendants. Your record puts me to shame I can only record a total of 9 and, only 2 homes during the 50 years we have lived in Brisbane. Thank you for entertaining story.

  2. Thanks Rosemary. It’s fun to put down details of my life – so very different to that of my children and even more so than that of my grandchildren

  3. You had some challenging times as a child. I can’t imgine moving so often throughout childhood as I only lived in the same one until I was 21. Adapting to all the different family jobs must surely have given you resilience.

  4. Thanks Pauline. I certainly learnt a lot about running small businesses over the years and the risks involved. I think reading was my salvation as you can do that whenever and wherever you find yourself- you can always escape into a book.

  5. I really enjoyed your childhood story, Dianne. Having grown up in south-east Queensland during the same time period, I am familiar with most of the places you refer to. Thank you for triggering many happy memories.
