I have recently been involved in Italian research. Not knowing a great deal about this area of research I was pleasantly surprised to find a website that was extremely useful. A chance discovery!

My paternal side of the family is Jones from Wales. I struggled over many years to obtain information but failed. In 2006 I made a trip to Wales and obtained the birth certificate of my great grandfather and while there did some research on the family which progressed me along. A lesson learned

Recently I have been conducting some research to help a friend out. She had been researching for a while and had come across some brick walls. One of these walls was the search for the parents of her great grandfather, Edmund Meagher. Edmund Meagher married Harriet Beecher Stowe Alexander in Melbourne in 1875 and died in Adelaide in 1935.
