GSQ’s Writing Group has recently been discussing the basics of compiling a printed publication. Depending on the nature of the publication, apart from the main body of the text other components may include a foreword, contents list or table, a preface, appendixes, frequently used abbreviations and maybe a glossary of terms, endnotes. 40 years of GSQ!

From the GSQ Archives 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of the Genealogical Society of Queensland.  During the course of this year, items about its formation will be published on the blog, highlighting key milestones over the last 40 years. The first edition of the journal, Generation, was published in March 1979 as Volume 1, No 1. GSQs Family History Fair to be precise. August is Family History Month and GSQ decided to hold a Family History Fair. Saturday 5 August was the chosen day for the Fair.
